The image above shows the Yamaha V-Max which is a type of crusier.
Today, I will be introducing more about one of the types of motorcycles that is the crusiers.
Cruisers These bikes are more commonly referred to as "American Bikes" due to the different style these motorcycles have. Their style came from people getting bored by the looks of their regular Harley's. They began creating choppers or custom bikes. They would make these machines look the way they do by taking out all the extra accessories that did not help the bike be lighter or go faster. All you ended up with was two wheels, a seat, frame, and a gas tank. These bikes began to symbolize the outlaw biker phenomenon. But by taking all of the extra accessories, this made some of the bikes very difficult or even impossible to maneuver.
These bikes continued to be custom works of arts until the early 1970's when manufacturers started producing factory choppers of their own. These bikes were not as popular with the public as a custom chopper since anyone could just go out and buy them. They rode allot better than homemade choppers but did not look the same. Not until Willie G Davidson introduced the Low Rider in 1977 did the public start to love factory produced choppers. This and the Wide Glide of 1980 can still be found in parts on choppers and cruisers of today.
I will be introducing about the sportbikes.

The motorcycle shown above is the Honda CBR600F4i.
Today I will be roughly introducing to all of you the types of motorcycles. The Types of Motorcycles Back when motorcycles first started, they were designed to be used on several different platforms. With little adjustments to the suspension or engine you could turn your regular street cruiser to an off-road bike. This was back in the olden days. Nowadays they build bikes for ever single purpose you may have. There are the crusiers, off-road motorcycles and the sportbikes.
In the next post, I will be elaborating more about each type of motorcycles.

Today, I will be talking about the beauty of bikes.
The Beauty of Bikes While most bike riders are fascinated by riding their bikes, most of them love the look of their bike over riding it. The look of our first motorcycle is imbedded in our mind, as is our first kiss. Nothing will ever make you forget what it looked like. Whether is was a vintage Harley or a newer model Gixxer, the way your bike looks not only represents the bike but the rider as well. The design of the most popular motorcycles has not changed since the 1950's. Let us take for instance the Harley Davidson motorcycles. In the history of bikes, no other bike has come close to the popularity of not only the name but also the look as Harley Davidson has. Some of the most beautiful bikes come with nothing more than an engine, wheels and a gas tank. Harley's represent to most motorcyclist and non-motorcyclist what a bike should look like.
I shall end my post here and will be touching on the types of motorcycles.

The above motorcycle is the Yamaha YZF-R1.
Today, I will be talking about the fall out of the motorcycles.
Fallout As is with all good things, they must all end. During the baby-boomers period, everyone had purchased a motorcycle. It was the generation that wanted speed and reliability and they found it in Japanese motorcycles. But during the late 70's when baby-boomers were concentrating on starting families and getting jobs that required most of their time, motorcycles started loosing their appeal. American distributors found themselves with a surplus of Japanese motorcycles that no one wanted to buy. They were forced to sell their left over stock at half or what their cost was. This drove many companies out of business.
That's all for today.

Today I will be introducing more about motorcycles. History Of Motorcycles Motorcycles have come along way from when they were first created by doing nothing more than adding an engine to a bicycle. Now motorcycles are some of the most technical machines out there. How It Started Not long after the first bicycle was introduced at the end of the nineteenth century, a few inspired individuals felt it was just not fast enough and strapped on an engine and started the motorcycle craze. Experiments by two individuals would set the tone for what motorcycle building was all about. These two men went by the names of William S. Harley and Arthur Davidson. Unless you have been stuck in a cage for the last century, I am sure you know who I am talking about. In 1903, they started what back then was nothing but an up and coming company known as The Harley-Davidson Motor Company. Now Harley-Davidson is world renowned for their line of motorcycle.
I will be introducing more about it in the next post.
